Well, seems Tanan and I caught the con-crud from Tacoma. He's home from work today sick in bed, and I've got the runny nose that won't quit and a cough, with a temp job later today and tomorrow. Thankfully the temp job today is only two hours, so hopefully I'll be better tomorrow for a full day of temp job tomorrow.
I began another cleaning spree yesterday. Cleaned the kitchen, removed all the extra crap from the livingroom, and am trying to organize from all this computer work that has cluttered up my desks.
The playoffs have begun, Giants lost, and the A's won against Boston at home 5 to 4 after 12 innings with game two starting in an hour or so. The last time the A's won the world series was in the 1970's, so I would love for them to do it again, but after last year's performance I won't be surprised if they don't make it that far.
Last night I read the information that Starcraft: Ghost is only coming out for console games, and was extremely miffed at Blizzard. The origonal Starcraft (aka Starcrack) was the most popular RTS game of all time, and Blizzard has no plans to continue that very popular and plot-filled genre at all with the PC/Mac. This means the only thing I have to look forward to is World of Warcraft which may turn out to be another Evercrack, so I'm dubious if I'll like it or not. We'll see. There are no new Monkey Island games in the works that we know of, and need I even go into my rant about the current state of Command & Conquer? Please. The future looks grim on the RTS gaming front.
Well, I have the OS reinstalled on the PC, but right now none of the games will work. The installers all crash. That might be a video card issue. I'll play with that, but I'm kind of partial to my new video card - the GeForce 2 with 64 megs DDR ram. But for all I know that's the problem. I'd love to pick up another GeForce 5200, but I'm a little shy on the money right now, and am in somewhat desperate need of good headphones for the iPod. I'm giving serious thought to stripping the PC down for parts and never messing with it again, but I would miss things. Damn that C&C addiction.
