Cheshire Cat's neck broken
Jul. 6th, 2003 01:48 amA fun and relaxing day. Went to the model train store and discovered that the ACE cars were now out, and bought a set of five of them to go along with the four Caltrain cars in my collection that do not have matching locomotives. Went to the model railroad club to work on many many cars with coupler issues – like fifty or so cars. Tanan did the fixing and switched the cars he fixed in the setup yard, generally having fun. Had dinner at Outback (the tigress needs meat!) and watched the A’s loose to Anaheim (grumble grumble rally monkey grumble grumble).
However, the find of the day was the 20” Cheshire Cat from American McGee’s Alice to sit in the livingroom with his feral grin. Origonally marked at $60, it was 25% off, for a total of $45. But when I got it home, it’s neck was cracked and almost broken, so I’ll need to glue it’s neck back together.Which really is too bad, since overall his effect is VERY cool. If you ever come visit, you should see him. :)
